PETROFER approached them to independently measure our sustainability credentials.

OUR CONTRIBUTION TO PROTECTING NATURE AND THE ENVIRONMENT
PETROFER is involved in nature and environmental initiatives to protect bees. We invest in bee colonies that are managed sustainably and naturally using species-appropriate methods. We support breeding programmes for non-commercial bee populations, helping to protect bees against extinction. These projects are part of PETROFER’s commitment to doing business in a way that protects our society and our environment – 80% of our native flowering plants need bee pollination to survive, and a third of the world’s food production relies on bees.
PETROFER BEE PROJECT
Project started 2017 with to date:
- 10 total colonies of bees in Austria
- 2 bee colonies in Hildesheim, more are planned
- 15 trained employees for support of bees in Hildesheim
PETROFER is involved in projects for the protection of bees, nature and environment, and is committed to species appropriate, near natural husbandry of the bee population. We will continue our commitment to projects that aim to protect the environment, preserve human health and conserve natural resources.
By investing in natural and species-appropriate bee-keeping, PETROFER is making an important contribution to protecting our environment and maintaining our ecological balance.
CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP
The PETROFER HOPE SCHOOL project supports schools in emerging countries. We donate money to fund new schools, renovations and educational equipment in China and India, enabling children of migrant labourers to attend school and receive an education.
