Release Agents for Concrete Casting

Home / Release Agents for Concrete Casting

OUR PRODUCT RANGE

High performance mould release agents used in the production of construction or prefabricated concrete elements, which are formulated by blending refined base oils and high-tech additives. They form a thin, highly resistant film layer between the material and the mould. Due to the uniform structure, they allow easy separation of the concrete component from the mould. The final surfaces are smooth, spotless, and visually glazed after each application (with spraying, roller, brush). Pore formation is not observed on the outer surfaces since air gaps can be easily released from the mould during the process. They can be easily applied to steel, plywood, and wood moulds. They protect steel mould and metal fasteners against corrosion in continuous use, reduce mould costs and maintenance, and so ensure maximum production with reduced costs.

OUR PRODUCT RANGE IN DETAIL

MINERAL OIL BASED CONCRETE MOULD RELEASE AGENTS

They provide good adhesion on the wood and plywood moulds with high surface absorption and the formulation with suitable viscosity base oils and additives. Even if they are used in small quantities, successful results are obtained on concrete surfaces with their excellent release behaviour.

SOLVENT BASED CONCRETE MOULD RELEASE AGENTS

They are formulated with special refined bases and additives where they can be easily applied to all mould types. Due to the chemical structure, they provide a thin film layer on large surfaces with low usage quantities. Even in concrete formulations with a high adhesion tendency, they allow the mould to be separated easily from the surface. The surfaces are smooth and spotless, and no porous structure occurs due to air gaps. They do not form a dusty layer on metal mould surfaces. If steam treatment is applied, smooth and spotless surfaces are obtained after casting.

WATER BASED CONCRETE MOULD RELEASE AGENTS

Where a customer process requires a water based release agent, PETROFER has developed a range of products that are easy, safe and provide excellent release properties. These products are suitable for many mould types and ensure good separation of the concrete component easily, cleanly with minimum dust and porosity.

APPLICATION EXAMPLES

PETROFER MOULD OIL CO 500 SERIES are mineral based concrete mould release agents specially designed for wooden and steel moulds. PETROFER MOULD OIL CO 600 and 800 SERIES are solvent based concrete mould release agents to be used in steel moulds and travers moulding. PETROFER MOULD OIL CO Series are all successfully used in manufacturing processes of prefabricated concrete segments moulding, universal concrete construction moulding, casting of concrete segments blocks used in tunnels and bridges, lamp-post moulding, mono block concrete body transformer room moulding
